Coconut reunited with Jamly after escaping for ten stressful days!

Coconut, an indoor cat, still had a strong desire to explore outdoors, so he bolted when the door was left slightly open on July 21st. For ten long days, his grief-stricken caregiver Jamly, and our team of volunteers (including Connie, Rachel, Jordan, and Ted) tried everything to find and capture him, including notifying neighbors, getting permission to check their garages, posting notices, putting out his blanket and litter box, leaving out food and water, and setting a trap. The rescue effort became further complicated, with Jamly needing to leave her home in San Mateo for her new job in Los Angeles. With no luck for nine days, hopes were diminishing, …but then on July 31st, almost miraculously, he was captured in our trap.  The exuberance we all felt, seeing Jamly reunited with her beloved Coconut, was beyond description. One of the lessons learned: never give up hope, your lost cat is likely very nearby, and coming back to his/her home.
